1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BoredBoard (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service. Your continued use of the Service following any updates to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

BoredBoard is a hobby website that allows users to:

Create custom bingo boards with text or photo content in each square
Mark squares as completed
Share boards publicly, make them unlisted, or keep them private
Browse other users' public boards and profiles
Comment on boards (where the board owner has enabled comments)

The Service is provided as-is for personal and recreational use.

3. User Accounts and Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You may register using an email address and password, or via Google OAuth integration. By creating an account, you agree to:

Provide accurate and complete registration information
Maintain the security of your account credentials and not share your password with others
Promptly notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. User-Generated Content

4.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service, including text and photos added to bingo boards ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant BoredBoard a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store and display your content solely as necessary to operate the Service.

4.2 Content Standards

You agree not to post User Content that:

Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or obscene
Infringes on any third party's intellectual property rights, including copyrights and trademarks
Contains personal or private information about another person without their consent
Contains viruses, malware, or other harmful code
Violates any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation

4.3 Content Removal

We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to remove any User Content that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable.

5. Privacy and Data Collection

5.1 Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use the Service:

Email address (used for account login and authentication)
Account credentials (passwords are stored in encrypted form)
Content you create on the Service, including bingo boards, photos, and comments
Board visibility settings and preferences

5.2 Use of Your Information

Your information is used solely to operate and maintain the Service. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties for commercial purposes. We do not use your data for advertising or any other business purpose.

5.3 Email Communications

We collect your email address for account authentication. We may send you transactional or service-related emails in the future (such as password resets or service notifications). If we begin sending such emails, you will be given the opportunity to opt out of non-essential communications.

5.4 Third-Party Services

If you choose to log in via Google, your authentication is handled by Google's OAuth service. We do not receive or store your Google password. Google's use of your information is governed by Google's own Privacy Policy.

5.5 Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Board Visibility and Public Content

When you create a bingo board, you may set its visibility as:

Public: visible to all users and discoverable on the Service
Unlisted: accessible only via direct link, not discoverable
Private: visible only to you

You understand that public boards and your public profile may be viewed by any visitor to the Service. You are solely responsible for the content you choose to make public.

7. Comments

Users may comment on boards where the board owner has enabled comments. By posting a comment, you agree that your comment may be viewed by other users of the Service. Board owners may disable comments on their boards at any time. We reserve the right to remove comments that violate these Terms.

You agree not to use the comment feature to harass, threaten, or intimidate other users, post spam, or engage in any unlawful conduct.

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service to:

Scrape, crawl, or systematically collect data from the Service without authorization
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or another user's account
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
Use the Service for any commercial purpose without prior written consent
Create multiple accounts for abusive or deceptive purposes
Upload content that exploits or harms minors in any way

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We make no guarantees regarding the availability or uptime of the Service, as it is a personal hobby project.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL BOREDBOARD OR ITS OPERATOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR ANY OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claims related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service (which, in the case of a free service, is zero dollars).

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless BoredBoard and its operator from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your User Content; or (d) your violation of any third party's rights.

12. Intellectual Property and Copyright

If you believe that content on the Service infringes your copyright, please contact us with the following information: a description of the copyrighted work, the location of the allegedly infringing content on our Service, your contact information, and a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner. We will investigate and, where appropriate, remove infringing content.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will indicate the date of the most recent update at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in New York.
